Litany Desk – Unlabelled Photograph (PWDRO 244/5)
The Pinwill archive at PWDRO includes many unlabelled photographs, some of which have been identified but others not. A photograph of a litany desk with a censing angel on one side and a praying angel on the other remained unidentified until August 2022 when Roy Reed posted on Twitter an image of angels on a litany desk at North Tamerton, Cornwall. These semi-kneeling figures were recognised by the author as Pinwill angels. This led to the identification of the litany desk as Pinwill work, particularly when compared with the unlabelled photograph.
