St James the Great
Altar Rails – Photograph (PWDRO 116/46, 244/2 & 244/4); after 1922
The photograph of these altar rails states that they are for the memorial chapel to the Revd G. Pole-Carew, although there is no inscription. The Revd Gerald Pole-Carew died on 5 October 1922 (The National Archive Probate 1922). The rails are similar to several other examples, with semi-kneeling angels typical of ones designed by Edmund H. Sedding and remodelled after his death in 1921.
